Sale of Chometz

As you may know, one of the primary mitzvot of Passover is the prohibition of owning chometz (leavened food material) during the Holiday. Click here to learn more about this mitzah

As a service to you, I will be happy to be your agent to sell your chometz before Passover, so even though it may physically be in your home, it will legally not be owned by you.

Please complete the form below to indicate your willingness for us to sell your chometz. 

Please respond ASAP and no later than Tuesday, April 4, 2023 by 10: 30 am.  

KNOW YE that I/we, the sender of this email, fully empower and permit Rabbi Israel Shmotkin to act in my place, and on my behalf to sell all Chometz possessed by me (knowingly or unknowingly) as defined by the Torah and Rabbinic Law (e.g. Chometz that tends to harden and to adhere to inside surfaces of pans, pots or cooking and eating utensils, and all kinds of live animals that have been eating Chometz or mixtures thereof.) And to lease all places wherein the Chometz owned by me may be found.

Rabbi Israel Shmotkin has the full right to sell and to lease by transactions, as he deems fit and proper and for such time which he believes necessary in accordance with all detailed forms as explained in the general authorization contract which have been given this year to Rabbi Israel Shmotkin to sell the Chometz. 

 This general authorization is made a part of this agreement. Also do I hereby give the said Rabbi Israel Shmotkin full power and authority to appoint a substitute in his stead with full power to sell and to lease as provided herein. The above given power is in conformity with all Torah, Rabbinical regulations and laws, and also in accordance with laws of the State of Wisconsin and of the United States.
